After removing power or setting the function selection switch to
the “Service/Off” position, the gear train can be disengaged using
thedeclutch button, permitting the shaft adapter tobemanually
rotated to any position. If you havewired theactuator for
feedback signal, then, after adaption, the feedback signal will
follow the new position.
Limitationof RotationStroke
Twoadjustablemechanical end limits are provided to limit the
angleof rotation as desired (seeFig. 7). Themechanical end
limitsmust be securely fastened inplace.

Toensure tight closing of thedampers, the shaft adapter has a
total rotation strokeof 95°.
After adjusting themechanical end limits, theuser should trigger
adaption (see section “Adaption”).
INTERNALENDSWITCHES
The internal end switches “A” and “B” are changeover switches
which are activatedwhen the shaft adaptermoves past aposition
of 5° and 85°, respectively (see alsoTable 5).

INSTALLATION
To avoidpersonal injury (electrical shock) and to
prevent equipment damage, before installation, you
must removepower.
These actuators are designed for single-pointmounting.
Mounting Instructions
All information and steps are included in the Installation
Instructions (Product LiteratureNo. 62-0224) suppliedwith each
actuator.
MountingPosition
Theactuators canbemounted in any position (IP54 is dependent
uponorientation; seeFig. 9). Chooseamounting position
permittingeasy access to cables and controls.

NOTE: Further, in order to guarantee IP54, only original
Honeywell grommetsmaybe used.
Anti-RotationBracket andScrews
If theactuator is tobemounteddirectly ona damper shaft, use
the anti-rotation bracket and screws included in thedelivery
package. Themin. distance between the center of thedamper
shaft and themiddleof the anti-rotation bracket is 3.35 in.; amax.
of 4.25 in. is allowed (see alsoFig14).
Dependingupon the specifics of yourmounting site, the actuator
may shift inposition slightlywhile tightening the screws at the top
of the shaft adapter. Theanti-rotationbracket features aT-piece
with a5-mm-long shank to accommodate for thismovement. It is
important toensure that this play is not impeded.
Universal Shaft Adapter
Theuniversal shaft adapter canbe used for shafts of various
diameters and shapes (round: 3/8...5/8 in. and square:
1/4...1/2 in.).
