the Duo-Chek was designed for
extremely fast opening conditions.
These typesofapplicationsaregen-
erally associated with compressed
gas or steam that causes damage
from theexplosiveopeningeffect on
theclosuremechanism.Thisdamage
can render them inoperative.This is
especially true with slow response
valves suchas swingand titlingdisc
check valves.
TheStyleXbodydesignhasspecial
geometry and plate configuration to
alloweachplate to strike the stoppin in its center of percussion.Toabsorb
high impacts, the stop pin and hinge lugs are oversized.

Typical applications include centrifugal compressor dischargewhere com-
pressors are subject to "surging", air separation plants, pipelines where
