Methodof Operation
Spring loadedpressure reducing valves operatebymeans of
a forceequalising system. The forceof adiaphragmoperates
against the forceof anadjustment spring. If theoutlet
pressureand thereforediaphragm force fall becausewater is
drawn, the thengreater forceof the spring causes the valve
toopen. Theoutlet pressure then increases until the forces
between thediaphragmand the springareequal again.
The inlet pressurehas no influence ineither openingor clo-
singof the valve. Becauseof this, inlet pressure fluctuation
does not influence theoutlet pressure, thus providing inlet
pressurebalancing.
