The flow througha valve is defined by the k

-value. The k

-value is the flowm through a valve in [m³/h] at adifferential pressure
of 1 bar (14,5P.S.I.) and is only valid for fluidswith a density of σ

= 1000 kg/m³. This condition ismet bywater at a temperature
of 20°C (68°F). For fluidswith another density the following formula canbeapplied:
