Blow-out proof stem
‘‘KSB’’ valves areof bottomentry stemdesign. The stem is inserted
from inside thebody and stem collar sits on the integral land
provided in thebody. Higher the linepressure, tighter thewill be the
seal. This is a safety features and it does not allow stem to come
out andeliminates possibleaccidents.
FloatingBall
In closedposition, when the linepressure is actingon theupstream
sideball, itmoves/floats freely towards thedown stream side seat
givingeffective tight sealing. In theopenposition the fluidgets
trapped in thebody cavity andbuilds up thepressure. Hole
providedon theball prevents this andensures nodamage to the
seats.

springanda small ball fittedbetweenball and stemensures
electrical continuity. For smaller size valves below50mm, 35%
carbon filledPTFE stem seals provides/meets this continuity.
