Valves areof bottomentry stemdesign. The stem is inserted from
inside thebody and stem collar sits on the integral landprovided in
thebody. Higher the linepressure, tighter will be the seal. This is a
safety featureanddoes not allow stem to comeout andeliminates
possibleaccidents.
Stemseal withDiscsprings
Stempacking consists of stem seal andglandpacking rings (as per
design requirement) whichensures leak tight stem sealing. Disc
springs arepre-compressedandensure that glandpacking load is
maintainedon the stuffingbox. This compensates the varying
forces on the sealingglanddue to changes inpressureand
temperature. It alsogives excellent thermal conductivity.

sideball, itmoves/floats freely towards thedown stream side seat
givingeffective tight sealing. In theopenposition, the fluidgets
trapped in thebody cavity andbuilds up thepressure. Hole

seats.
